Dear Name,
I would like to resign from my job with immediate effect. I have taken this decision to pursue another opportunity that would act as a catalyst in my career.
I would be serving a one month notice starting tomorrow and would like to be relieved of my responsibilities by February 15, 2007. I would like to thank you for your support and insights that made my stint a great learning experience.
I am currently working on the following projects:
* Conducting market research for our proposed product -- slated to be completed by end of this week.
* Studying the sales trends for the last six months and providing a report -- slated to be completed by February 8.
I would like to discuss the following when we meet:
* My pending bonus for the current financial year.
* Vacation time and its adjustment with the notice period.
I would like to recommend a few team members for my position and would be happy to train and support my replacement.
Please let me know of a convenient time to meet and discuss the same.
Yours sincerely,

It depends on the degree of friendship/relationship, a two or three days advance notice would be fine. However, professionally-wise, it should be at least one (1) month before the date of resignation, giving ample time for proper turn-over.
If you are hourly/weekly paid, then give a weeks notice. An employee in a factory would give this length of notice. An office worker, on a monthly salary, would probably give a month's notice. A lot depends on the terms and conditions of your employment.
This is true of anything that is month-to-month: it can be terminated upon proper notice. In a month-to-month situation, that notice is at least 30 days before the next rent is due.
If the tenancy is month-to-month, either party can end it with a full rental period notice. So, if the rent is due on the first, notice should be given by January 31, to leave at the end of February.
Dear Sir / Ma'am, Please accept this as my formal one month notice of my resignation from the designation of "". As I am going to married soon, I will not be able to continue my work in our esteemed organization. I kindly request you to relieve me of from my duties on June 28, 2011. I herewith promise you that I will do all my best in the smooth transfer of my responsibilities before leaving. I thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to work in such an outstanding organization, which I have found enjoyable and fulfilling with both Management and colleagues. Kindly do the needful. Thank you. Sincerely Ma.Geli AnneG.Capistrano
one month notice
You'd write it like you would any letter of resignation: greet your employer, state your intent to resign and your last day on the job, express gratitude for your employment, and wish them well. You should give them adequate notice—two weeks is customary, but you could give earlier notice depending on company policy/individual situation. You could also offer to train your replacement or otherwise help ease your transition out of the company.
Yes. 30 days include a full month including weekends.
By giving the other party a month or less than a month's notice of your intention to cancel, depending on the conditions set out in the acceptance agreement.
Usually the 60 days start when the landlord receives the notice.
Certainly, with proper notice (usually one month). This is called a Notice to Quit in most states.
You get the notice on the Xth of month A, and you have until the Xth of month B to be gone.
