if you still have the spring intack unlike mine. then get a flat head screw driver. with your right hand insert driver above spring from left side of lock. (your right). now with driver push spring down and it will pop open so becareful. if the spring has fell off good luck. im on the web trying to figure it out now.
on an auto transaxle, look (from front of veh.) down close to the fenderwell, under the battery plate. you will find a dipstick handle.
beside the steering wheel on the left side. somewhat under the dash, there should be a handle, if broken..then there will be a wire. you just pull the handle/wire and it opens up the front compartment.
If you're lucky the cable may have broken on the passenger compartment side of the firewall - perhaps where it attaches to the pull handle. If so, and you can locate the dangling end, grab it firmly with a pair of pliers or visegrips and pull it. If it is broken in the engine compartment you will probably need to go to a shop for their assistance, there really is no owner-friendly fix for popping the hood.

how to uninstall the inside one..you take out the screw behind the handle then push toward the front of the car.. it will make a snap noise should be ok but it may have broken one latch..there are two latches. to install do the opposite.
