Before you can enter the Sphinx, you need two items not found at Giza :
- Turban - get the blue Egyptian Lily from Blue Nile Falls, and swap it for a turban at Nabooti
- Cell phone - climb the trail to the ice cave at the Mountains of the Moon. Beat the old man at the Mancala game and enter to cave to get the Red jewel and the phone.
At Giza, wear the turban to get a shovel. On the handle is a phone number for the leader of the tomb raiders, Vince Graves. When you meet him, call him at the number on the shovel, which is 555-6789. When his men run off, and he looks for the phone, grab the Moonstone from his knapsack. When it is set in the ring atop the Sphinx, the door will open.
