How do you trade a Pokemon from Pokemon ranger to Pokemon platinum?

Well, it depends on the game. In Heart Gold & Soul Silver you Obtain the National Dex, and then go to Fuschia City. The Pal Park in Heart Gold & Soul Silver is where the old shut down Safari Zone used to be. Once you have talked to Prof. Oak and talked to the Clerk at the counter you will be able to migrate when you save and restart the game. You have to insert a GBA main Pokemon game (Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, Emerald) to migrate, it will appear on the Continue screen, eg. if you inserted Emerald, "MIGRATE FROM EMERALD" You then Choose 6 Pokemon from your PC Boxes that don't have HM's on them, Pokemon are not returnable to the GBA games unlike the Time Capsule in Crystal. After you select 6 Pokemon the game will confirm them, you then need to go to pal park to capture the Pokemon. In Diamond & Pearl it is much the same concept except you surf the route below Sandgem town to get to Pal Park. There is a limit in Diamond & Pearl on how many Pokemon you can migrate in 24 Hours, but this limit Ceased in Heart Gold & Soul Silver.

You cannot migrate any Pokemon from Pokemon Ranger to Diamond or Pearl. Ranger is simply a side game to the popular Pokemon RPGs. Although you are able to transfer a rare Pokemon egg to Diamond or Pearl (not through migration), do not be confused - you cannot migrate Pokemon from Ranger.

Well, once you complete special ranger missions from the ranger net, you will be able to transfer some of them to your Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver (and coming on March 6th)Black, and White. Just to let you know, I'm going from information from Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs, not Pokemon Ranger or Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. So if this doesn't work on your game, I'm really sorry.

You can either select the ranger menu and select "quicksave" and then you will have to shut the power off. I recommend only using this when you want to stop playing. Also, you can go to a save machine and you can either continue or turn off the game. I hope this answers your question.
