Zebra's can recongnize their babies because all zebra's have different stripe patterns. so the mom memorizes the babies stripe pattern and that way she can tell her baby from the others.
Actually, the mother zebra has a certain call or sound that attracts the babies when the baby wander off or has fallen behind.
Zebras communicate by making noises such as barking, snorting, baying or whinnying. They also move their ears to signal calmness or fear. Their ears stand up straight when they feel calm and flatten back when they are scared.
If you look really closely, you can tell that some zebras are white with black stripes and others black with white stripes. Don't look too close or they will hit you in the head with their hooves!
