It is quite possible to worship God (if you happen to be a Christian) without attending a church. Dr. Seuss, (real name, Theodor Seuss Geisel) probably felt one could worship God in your own way.

Dr. Seuss was known to incorporate moral lessons and themes into his stories that align with Christian values, such as empathy, kindness, and helping others. While he may not have been a churchgoer, his work often reflected Christian principles of love and compassion. His personal beliefs and how he practiced Christianity outside of organized religion remain private.

The Uniting Church of Christ concedes, "Although some attribute theological significance to his works, Geisel [real name, Theodor Seuss Geisel] did not intend as much. In fact, he did not consider himself to be an overtly religious person." So, Seuss was not really practising Christianity - by not going to church.

Edward T. Babinski said Dr Seuss "was married by a justice of the peace, and he was cremated without a funeral. Not sure what that says about his religious commitment, but it seems difficult to say since he doesn't seem to have said much if anything quotable on the topic of religion at all."
