Hades harms no one. It is believed that since he is the god of the Underworld that he must be the cause of death. That is simply not the truth. The Fates are the ones who cut the strings of lives.

The helmet was given to him by the Cyclopes and made him invisible. The fork had two prongs and was powerful enough to shatter anything or anyone that he did not like. The staff was used to drive the dead into the Underworld. He also had a chariot with black horses which was not particularly powerful, just intimidating. Hades was one of the strongest of the Olympians and had the ability to create fire and control it to harm an opponent. He was also immortal and impervious to harm.
