During the Battle of Hogwarts, Voldemort calls out for Harry, taunting him, saying that if he would only just show his cowardly face he would spare the rest of his friends. During this time, something clicks in Harry's head. He is the seventh horcrux! The only way to destroy Voldemort would be to destroy himself. And so he steps forward and Voldemort kills him. Harry then wakes up in the middle of the Kings Cross train station and finds himself in the company of the deceased professor Dumbledore. Dumbledore explains his mistakes and asks Harry to forgive him. Harry then questions going back. Dumbledore tells him that it is up to him. He can continue on, or go back to Hogwarts. Harry chooses to go back and finish what he started. So he goes back by his choices. Once he returns, the horcrux is gone and all that remains is Harry.
