well first of all, the artists tried hard to produce the music for everyone and if you are downloading them without paying that is basially saying no thnaks at all. And secondly no one should be doing that!! :-)

The victim is the owner of the music (usually the recording company, or the artist). Illegally downloading music is stealing, because you are taking something that is not yours without paying for it or permission.

If you are downloading music fraudulently from the iTunes store then they may find you. If you have illegally downloaded music from elsewhere then iTunes will not know about it.
They can look at the IP address from the computer that downloaded the music.
