He conquered death, and saved us from our sins
True
Because these are the two most important things of Jesus' message - he was born into the world to save us and this he did by dying on the cross for our sins, and rising from the dead to give us all hope in the resurrection of the dead.
Yes, all four gospels give accounts of the resurrection. Matthew chapter 28, Mark chapter 16, Luke chapter 24 and John chapter 20.
Hope. Just as Jesus rose from the dead so will believers rise from the dead.
The solemn liturgies of the Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday) teach us about the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They invite us to reflect on the depth of God's love for us, the sacrifice Jesus made for our salvation, and the hope of new life that comes from his resurrection. The Triduum also calls us to enter into these mysteries through prayer, contemplation, and participation in the liturgies.
These stories show Peter's loyalty and his human weaknesses. Despite his initial promise to always follow Jesus, he later denied him three times out of fear. However, Jesus' message to Peter at the Resurrection demonstrates forgiveness, reconciliation, and the opportunity for redemption.
The contradictions among the various gospel stories mean that scholars believe that no one was really a reliable witness to Jesus' resurrection appearances. Moreover, there is nothing that James wrote, or even attributed to James, that mentions the resurrection of Jesus. If James did actually see the risen Jesus, he left us nothing to tell of his experience.
We as Christians have hope after death, as we have salvation.
Jesus came to show us the way by His example, through His birth, life, suffering, death and resurrection (born again).
Its not really reconcilliation that we learn when hearing of Jesus facing his death on the cross, we learn that he loves us enough to die for us, and that he trusted God enough to die without a single complaint. Jesus is the perfect example.
People give gifts on Christmas because Jesus Christ gave us the ultimate gift in dying on the cross for our sins. Hope this helps.
Christians remember the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday, which signifies his victory over death and the fulfillment of his mission to save humanity. Easter is the holiest day in the Christian calendar and is celebrated with joy and hope as a symbol of new life and faith.
