In Matthew's Gospel, Joseph knows this because an angel appeared to him in a dream and told him about Jesus.
In Luke's Gospel, Joseph knows this because Mary told him that an angel had appeared to her and told her about Jesus.
Joseph, Mary's husband
Jesus,Mary and Joseph as far as i know
We know nothing at all about either Mary or Joseph other than what we read in the Bible. This does not even tell us whether Mary outlived Joseph, nor whether she remarried if he did die first.
There is no scripture referrence to the death of Joseph. What we know is strictly based on tradition.
Dismas and Gestas were the thieves Mary and Joseph encountered on the way to Bethlahem. Dismas was also one of the thieves crucified with Jesus, the one who was forgiven by Jesus.
Joshua bar Joseph Messiah - Joshua son of Joseph Messiah. That is the name transliterated from Hebrew to English (I don't know how to write Hebrew here). The name Jesus is the Greek translation of the Hebrew Joshua and the title Christ (not a name) is the Greek translation of the Hebrew title Messiah. Jesus Christ is actually a transliteration from Greek to English.
There is most likely no animal that belonged to Joseph, because for one thing, Mary and her little lamb is a made up, fictional character, and the second thing is that Joseph, if you are referring to from in the Bible, has nothing to do with the fictional Mary with her little lamb. Wow, that was a long answer... I don't know...
Joseph was given a vision from God of who Jesus is, our savior, when Mary was still carrying Christ in her womb. Only God and Joseph know all of Joseph's feelings.
No. Luke 1:34 "Then Mary said unto the angel, how shall this be, seeing I know not a man?" Mary was a virgin. The customs and traditions of ancient Israel would not have approved of premarital sex. Joseph and Mary would not have engaged in such a lie.
Jesus's father was known to be God but god impregnated Mary to give birth to Jesus and Joseph was kind of like his 'stepdad' if you now what I mean as they weren't actually related but he cared for Jesus. So essentially, God Mary ( also known as mother mary and virgin mary) Joseph were his family as far as I know........ Hope that helps
I would think that Joseph would have been pleased to learn that the woman he was to marry had not been unfaithful and have gotten pregnant by another man, but was instead over shadowed by the Holy Spirit. How Joseph felt by being given the responsibility of helping to raise the Christ Child I don't know, but it should have been a great privilege and pleasure.
No. The Joseph that was sold into slavery in Egypt was a son of Jacob in the Old Testament. The Joseph who married Mary, the mother of Jesus was born just prior to the New Testament era. We know very little of him, except he believed in God.
