Lord Capulet knows that Juliet is "dead" because the Nurse and Lady Capulet are making a racket in Juliet's room. The Nurse is the first to find Juliet "dead," then Lady Capulet. Last in their household to know was Lord Capulet.

After Juliet's real death in Act V, she says "O me! This sight of death is as a bell, that warns my old age to a sepulchre." and that's all. She's just very sad and very tired at this point. She may have used up all her frenzied mourning at Juliet's fake death in Act IV, where she is much more animated: "O me! O me! my child, my only life, revive, look up, or I will die with thee! Help! Help! Call help!"

Shakespeare presents Lady Capulets reaction to Juliets death as grieving loudly and wildly. This is conveyed when she first received, her news, “O me, O me! My child, my only life.

Revive, look up, or I will die with thee.” This reaction is deeper than one would expect as Lady Capulet has displayed little affection in the play for Juliet, which could indicate how she had to put on a bitter act towards her daughter to please her husband as in the Elizabethan era women has to follow their husbands and their views and did not get to say anything otherwise. From Lady Capulets reaction she must have felt guilt and anger towards herself for pushing Juliet to a path of marriage she did not want.

What is their physical traits of lord Capulet and lady Capulet?

I don't know about Lord Capulet, but I know for certain that Lady Capulet is fairly young. She tells Juliet that she was about her age when she was had her. This means that Lady Capulet is 26. I guess due to stress she can look a few years older though. For Capulet, I guess you can say that he is well dressed and groomed. He is from a wealthy family after all. The same applies to Lady Capulet.

What are the three ironic instances in the play romeo and Juliet and explain why they are ironic?

1) Irony occurs when Lord Capulet arranges for Juliet to be married to Paris because we already know that she is secretly married to Romeo 2) Irony also occurs when The Nurse finds Juliet "dead" on the morning of her wedding to Paris. This is irony because we know that Juliet is not dead, she has only taken a potion to make her appear dead 3) Irony occurs when Romeo kills himself at the end. This is irony because he kills himself thinking Juliet is dead when we know that she really isn't.

Who were Juliet's parents in Romeo and Juliet?

Juliet's parents are named Lord Capulet and Lady Capulet, whereas Romeo's parents are named Lord Montague and Lady Montague.I've read the play, and as far as I could tell, it never says their given names, but if you want to refer to them, call them the above names (their last names).

What happened to Juliet's mother?

Juliet's mother is Mrs. Capulet. She is not Lady Capulet because Capulet is a middle-class man not a Lord, although he is very wealthy. We do not know much about her family, although we know her brother's son, who is Tybalt, so clearly she has or had siblings. But it would appear that she is not from a family of note. She was about Juliet's age (14) when she married Capulet (she says so in Act I Scene 3), so she would be 28 years old.

Did Romeo and Juliet fall in love at first sight?

Yes. They first met at the Capulet's party. Romeo saw Juliet, sidled over to her, started flirting and within a minute they're kissing. They didn't even know each others' names until the end of the party.

What is the scene when Lord Capulet forbids juliets love with romeo?

There is no such scene. Capulet (he's not a Lord, by the way) does not even know about Juliet's involvement with Romeo until after her death.

Does Romeo know that Juliet is a Capulet?

Not at first, but then he figures it out.

What do Montague and Capulet promise as a tribute to Romeo and Juliet?

Unfortunately Romeo and Juliet did not invite the father of the groom to attend the wedding, so he brought no wedding present. In fact, he didn't even know about the wedding until after both the bride and groom were dead.

Which character is a foil to lady Capulet?

The Nurse foils the character of Juliet's mother, Lady Capulet. As her mother, Lady Capulet should know everything that there is about her daughter; she should know how old she is and her innermost feelings. However, Lady Capulet knows neither. Early on in Act 1, Lady Capulet is unsure of Juliet's age and the Nurse has an extended speech in which she explains to Juliet's mother how she knows how old Juliet is better than her mother does. Additionally, throughout the play, it is the Nurse that Juliet goes to for advice and assistance, not her mother.

Who is Capulet?

Juliet Capulet is the daughter of the Capulet and Lady Capulet. She is 13 years old and yes that is the same age she got married. Although the Capulets wanted her to marry Paris ,he is about twenty years old, she didnt wanna marry him. She was brave enough to tell her parents no but after she was already married to romeo. Of course that didnt know about that marriage. Its was private. Only Romeo and Juliet and Nurse and Friar Lawerence knew about it. Juliet is a quiet girl but she has feelings and emotions just like anbody else. Now you know all about JULIET CAPULET

How old is romeo and Juliets mother?

They had different mothers--they were not brother and sister, you know. We don't know about Lady Montague, but Capulet says that Lady Capulet was about Juliet's age when Juliet was born. That would make her about twenty-eight.
