The imagery in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is used to portrays the similarities and differences between Victor and his creation, not only does the use of natural imagery compare the two but it forewarns when something is about to happen.

Imagery of nature is also used to describe particular people such as Elizabeth and Victor's mother. Women are described as feminine and natural and all natural references can be traced back to a woman, whereas the imagery of men, such as Waldon, the imagery leans more towards that of a scientific nature.

One bit of advice, read through again carefully, draw a table between masculine and feminine and compare different lines throughout

Mary Shelley uses lightness and darkness in "Frankenstein" to create contrasts between good and evil, life and death, and knowledge and ignorance. Light often symbolizes hope, human connection, and enlightenment, while darkness represents isolation, ignorance, and the unknown. These contrasting elements help to underline the moral and philosophical themes of the novel.
