Taking Oxycontin or cocaine, or both is an avoidance of ones life, difficulties, one's own inadequacies, or whatever it is they don't wish to deal with. The longer they intoxicate and avoid their own needs is bound to have a negative affect on their personality. If they continue intoxicants for a long period, there is usually very little left of their own personality, they take on a drug induced and drug seeking personality. This is not always true, because taking this combination can kill you very soon in the quest for intoxication, before much personality change takes place.
