Excerpts from Microsoft Computer Dictionary (5th Edn):
Acrobat n. A program from Adobe Systems, Inc., that
converts a fully formatted document created on a Windows,
Macintosh, MS-DOS, or UNIX platform into a Portable
Document Format (PDF) file that can be viewed on
several different platforms. Acrobat enables users to send
documents that contain distinctive typefaces, color, graphics,
and photographs electronically to recipients, regardless
of the application used to create the originals.
Recipients need the Acrobat Reader, which is available
free, to view the files. Depending on version and platform,
it also includes tools such as Distiller (which creates PDF
files from PostScript files), Exchange (which is used for
links, annotations, and security-related matters), and PDF
Writer (which creates PDF files from files created with
business software).
Acrobat Reader n. A free program produced and distributed
by Adobe Systems, Inc., for displaying and printing
documents that are in Portable Document Format (PDF).
.pdf n. The file extension that identifies documents
encoded in the Portable Document Format developed by
Adobe Systems. To display or print a .pdf file, the user
should obtain the freeware Adobe Acrobat Reader. See
also Acrobat, Portable Document Format.
Portable Document Format n. The Adobe specification
for electronic documents that use the Adobe Acrobat family
of servers and readers. Acronym: PDF. See alsoAcrobat,
.pdf.
I believe that both Windows Operating and Mac systems work with PDF Creator. Personally, I have used PDF Creator with my Windows Operating system at work.
Yes. Adobe makes software to read PDF files in windows environment.
Yes there are many OCR software programs that work with PDF's, as PDF is a relatively standard file format for all computers. One good example of this can be found at http://www.investintech.com/pdf-ocr.htm.
Doesn't work. Mp3 is sound, pdf is text and simple pictures. There's no conversion available.
The PDF to DOC conversion's purpose is to transfer the document into a format that is easier to work with. A DOC is much easier to edit that a PDF and many people do not have the software to edit a PDF readily available.
You can convert your work to pdf without losing any content by first making sure that you saved a copy of your work and then converting it. You probably will not lose your work.
PDF Creator is an professional PDF maker, which can create PDF files from any printable files, including txt, images, word, powerpoint, excel etc. In addition, the PDF Creator can work as virtual printer, realizing PDF creating by clicking "Print" button.I usually this one.
The only "PDF creator" I am familiar with is a pseudo-printer driver for Windows to "print" to a PDF file. Linux has the ability to print to a PDF file built-in. There are many tools for creating PDF documents in Linux, if your application was not the one I described above.
go to www.rrcap.unep.org/male/manual/national/07Chapter7.pdf donld pdf ...there is the details of high volume sampler..
You can't edit it, PDF is optimised to be more "book-like" and text files are created to write and work on the text.
I always use PDF when printing out work, especially graphics from Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. Mainly because it is a universal format and it will be sure to print the way you need it.
Trainging and development pdf file expedites acquisition of the knowledge, abilities, and skills required for effective job work in your workplace .
