POST means "Power On Self Test", and is a series of tests the computer will conduct before loading your operating system (i.e. Windows). Most desktop computers that pass POST will sound a single short beep. If POST fails with a "no video" error, that probably means the computer was unable to properly initialize the video device during POST. You will likely need your computer serviced, in this event.
POST (Power On System Test) indicates errors by a series of pre-defined beeps. It will not make you a cup of coffee if it identifies an error.
