In the West, the thought of urine therapy is simply outrageous and complete snake oil. In the East it is a different story all together. Millions and Millions of Chinese, Japanese, Indian (peoples of India), Russian and many others use urine therapy as a practical form of healing and natural medicine.

Many here in Japan say it gives them energy, some say it helped them conceive when nothing else helped, others use it on there skin and have said it cleared their various kinds of rashes.

Science knows that many vitamins, minerals, salts, hormones and other nutritional components are found in urine. For those that practice urine therapy, many believe that small indicators of illness are in the urine and when reintroduced into the body the immune system is able to read it like a computer that reads code allowing the immune system to send needed support to the most needed area's.

Your question is about the skin. Some of the most expensive skin lotions on the market contain urea which is a natural component of urine. Along with the nutritional components make it very good for skin. You can apply it directly or put it in your bath water.

If drinking, always use fresh urine with-in 10 minutes of urination. If for the skin (external use only), you can use fresh or 4 day old urine.

Can anyone share their personal experience with Urine Therapy - there seem to be varying views on the subject?

I tried the process for a couple of weeks to treat a minor fingernail fungus that would not go away. I stopped after a couple of weeks because I didn't think I seen improvement. Now though however, I have noticed that the fungus is only half as bad as it once was. I guess the urea (Urine) did help some but took a while to work through to the fingernails. I am now contemplating giving the therapy a longer try. The thought of it at first seems barbaric, but if you realize that your urine is very sterile and has been filtered by your kidneys you just have to get past the persona of it smelling and tasting bad. It also helped with digestive issues.

Can Antibiotics treat a virus?

No. Antibiotics only treat bacteria - and each antibiotic has a different group of bacteria it can treat. Antivirals such as acyclovir, foscarnet, and ganciclovir treat some viruses, and others have no treatment other than supportive therapy: fluids, fever control, etc.
