Many people either don't know how to spell, or they're so used to texting and digispeak, that they spell that way in answers.

Not necessarily, articles on Wikipedia are edited by other users and the information they put may not be from a reliable source, or sometimes it may not be from a source at all. So, Wikipedia isn't your most reliable source because they answers they have may not be right all the time.

Answers is awesome because it doesn't give you all the gobbledygook that Wikipedia does. It gets straight to the point.

Because the site is not reviewed and many people writing answers here don't know the subject matter.

I know many of the answers to many questions, and I am here because I know the answers. That is the same reason why many other contributors are here. If they don't know the answer to a question, then they are helping WikiAnswers in a different way - i.e., splitting alternates, asking questions, recategorizing questions, etc. And... we're trying to help. we answer what we can. would you rather we just randomly answer questions so they're wrong? No, so chill out and take a pill.
