There is no easy way to do it. Sit them down when they are well rested and not hungry (if they are tired and hungry, it spells trouble). Tell them you have been irresponsible. Parents want you to admit when you have made a mistake. Then tell them you had sex with a boy and got pregnant. You need to have solutions ready so they don't freak out and wonder what they are going to do about this. Solutions: PLEASE do not consider abortion. At your age, you have your whole life ahead of you and so does this baby. Consider adoption. It may seem cute to have a baby - kind of like having a pet, but babies are expensive and one way to ensure the baby will have a good life and your expenses will be totally taken care of during pregnancy is to go through an agency to adopt out your baby. You will make a life long friend (the parents-to-be) and you can rest easy knowing everything will be okay for the baby. Another Solution: Adopt out to a relative who has a family already. Your baby would be close and you could see him/her grow up. Plus the benefit of getting to be a normal teenager when it is all finished. It take courage to tell your parents about your pregnancy. It will take more courage to carry the baby to term and make a good choice for the child.
