When a bison adapts to its grassland, it means what is it about its body or the things that are in the place it lives that makes it live/survive there. Well, the thick fur is to keep it really warm in the winter, while in the winter to keep them shaded (blocked or protected from the sun or something else). Their horns help them to fight other male bison's to win the female ones, but it is also used to dig strong plants, grass etc. so they can eat.

Bison are found in two different biomes: Grassland, and Forest. It was not uncommon for bison to have their wintering grounds in the mixed boreal and aspen parkland of Western Canada, and many bison are still raised or live in this area. A species of bison called the Wood Bison (smaller than the Plains Bison that once ruled the grasslands) make their home in these forests, extending their range further north to Northwest Territories, the Yukon and parts of Alaska.
Prairie dog, Bison, Dormouse, Opossum, and Saiga
Bison primarily inhabit grassland biomes, such as prairies and savannas, where they thrive on the abundant grasses. They can also be found in mixed woodlands and shrublands, particularly in areas where open grasslands are nearby. While their preferred habitats are grasslands, bison can adapt to various environments as long as there is sufficient forage. However, they are not typically found in deserts or tropical rainforests.
