Sometimes it takes over a month for birds to find it.
First, dump out your bird feeder on a paper towel. If you see any bugs you can either kill it by squishing it or find your own method. Then clean your bird feeder with soap, hot water, and dry it carefully. Make sure all the bugs are gone. Next, inspect the bird food, if it if spoiled then replace it with new ones. If you have a lid for your bird feeder, make sure you close it nice and tight.NEVER use bug spray and spray it all over the bird feeder, the birds might get sick and even die from it.
If it is not a hummingbird feeder, use sunflower seed.
I think you may be able to find a feeder "kit" at a craft store such as Michael's. You could also look at bird supply stores for inspiration and ideas.
There are many benefits of a raised bird feeder. One of the many benefits are improved pet posture and improved digestion. Some bird lovers might get a raised bird feeder to improve the design and/or look of their property.
To create a squirrel baffle DIY for your bird feeder, you can use a large plastic or metal dome or cylinder that is placed above the feeder. This will prevent squirrels from climbing down onto the feeder and accessing the bird food. You can attach the baffle to a pole or hang it from a tree branch to effectively protect your bird feeder from pesky squirrels.
