no, in an ac circuit the coil provides impedance but the DC coil needs some resistance to limit the current

What is difference between 24vac and 240 v ac coil?

These are two different rating coils. I will not take 24V and 240V ac coils in this explanation, I will take low voltage ac coil and high voltage ac coil in the explanation in general. Low voltage ac coils have low insulation in general compared to the high voltage coils since we need more insulation for the high voltage coils. Low voltage ac coils have less no of turns and less diameter of coil compared to high voltage ac coils. But the thickness of the conductor used for the ac coil depends on the current rating of the coil only it does not depends on the voltage.


How Electric power is transformed upon one coil to other coil in a transformer?

One coil builds up a magnetic field when it is energized (and de-energized) and this induces an electric current in the other coil. The voltage produced in the second coil is determined by the number of coils wound on it compared to the first coil. This is called the turns ratio and only works with alternating current unless you are using it with a dc battery to make a spark in an ignition coil. examples primary 100 turns, secondary 200 , is a step up transformer ie from 10 volts AC to 20 volts AC 100 turns primary, 50 turns secondary, step down transformer ie from 10 volts AC to 5 volts AC


Why pmmc used for DC only?

Because in the coil DC current follow easly and pmmc meter is making with coil and AC current is not follow in coil so we used the pmmc only fpr DC current.
