There is nothing special about the way cows chew. The only thing that may seem special is that, when they eat, they first eat the grass or hay whole then, when full and resting, regurgitate it to chew it as cud.

∙ 13y agoLike she would be chewing cud or grain. But normally cows should NOT be chewing wood. This is always a sign of phosphorus deficiency, so feed her a mineral that contains a balanced calcium:phosphorus ratio so she gets her adequate phosphorus-needs in her diet.
