Normally using a calibrated bellows or bourdon tube. As pressure is sensed by the device it inflates the tube or bellow which in turn causes the needle to rotate.

Pre-seventies pitot and static systems on aircraft use this very technology to relay information like true air speed to the pilots.

Most are made with a bourdon tube, a curved tube that straightens as the pressure increases. As the tube straightens, it pulls a toothed rack across a matching pinion gear that turns the shaft to which the indicator needle is attached.
