Snake venom is a protein and therefore is only dangerous when it enters the blood stream. You can eat pure snake venom and not die because the stomach is fully prepared to handle any protein. Snake venom is stored in a poison sac which keeps it away from the blood stream. Its the same sort of situation with the bladder, the gall bladder, the intestines. If the contents of any of these were to enter the blood stream there would be serious consequences, but as they are confined to the organ which are designed to contain them there is no problem.
