What a sling link does, essentially, is convert your home's electrical supply into a network connection. If you plug your broadband router's ethernet cable into the sling link's port,Then plug it directly into a wall socket (very important, surge surpressors will interfere with the connection) ensure that your sat receiver is also plugged directly into a wall socket, and your sat box should be connected to your network.
