You can try going to the Government of Canada site and searching to find out how to see what the rating are for nursing homes in your local area if you are a US citizen go to your local government site for ratings.
Whether you are eligible for, or if it is even possible to get, such a grant depends on what country you are in. Visit a local citizen's advice bureau or the equivalent in your area, and ask them whether there are such avilable. It is also a good idea to visit the website or local office of your government to find out.
I am a German citizen who can participate in Germany's government.
Unfortunately, there isn't a good way for a normal citizen to get respite services for senior citizens in their area. The senior citizen or their family needs to contact the government agency in charge of those services.
