By measuring the atmospheric Pressure, using an instrument called an Altimeter. As you move higher and higher from sea level, the atmospheric pressure decreases, and the pressure of the air can be converted mathematically to height above sea level . An Altimeter has a dial which shows Metres above sea level. If the instrument is used to measure Atmospheric Pressure , for the purpose of weather forecasting, then the dial shows 'Bars' of pressure. A 'Bar' is equal to 14.7 Pounds per Square Inch of pressure, which is the air pressure at sea level. Sky diving parachutists use an altimeter attached to them , which they can watch as they descend. When their height above the ground is at a suitable height, they open their parachute. They do not just make a wild guess. They use their Altimeter which is quite a good idea. It prevents them from killing themselves !
I think it is Joels. Who Cares anyway.
"Alitude" appears to be a typographical error. If you meant "altitude," it refers to the height of an object or point in relation to sea level or ground level. Altitude is commonly used in aviation, geography, and meteorology to describe the elevation of locations or aircraft. If you meant something else by "alitude," please clarify for a more accurate response.
with a tape measure
The measure of area is Lebesgue measure on the plane.
The altitude of Mt Everest is 29,035 feet or 8,848 meters.
an alimeter is a weather instrument which measures the alitude of an object above a fixed level
It depends what you mean by a plane inch. If you mean an inch length on a plane surface, the conversion is 1 to 1 so that 24.6 inch is 24.6 plane inches. If, instead, you mean the measure of an area in a plane, the answer is that there is no equivalence. An inch is a measure of length or distance while according to the above definition, a plane inch is a measure of area. The two measure different things and, according to basic principles of dimensional analysis, conversion from one to the other is not valid without some addition information.

PULLEYS
There should be an altimeter in every plane. Or we can use sonar or some kind like that.
