How a plant gets inside a seed is easy to answer. Because it starts out as a small plant but from all the animals, bugs, things trying to eat it and other things surrounding it it starts to get a hard or soft outer shell to protect its self. but that doesn't stop squirrls ,birds and other and trying to get into it.
