The wind and sand storms in the desert especially moves and changes them
Wind blows them back and forth.
Wind, water, and people walking on it.
A sand dune is a large sand hill formed by different wind patterns blowing over an area for an extended period of time. Over time, the wind shifts and moves the sand over itself, until it creates a large dune.
Sand Dunes erode over time usually, however, in the desert it is possible for sand from one dune to be blown off and form another dune. Over time that single dune could "migrate" in a way. Sand dunes on the beach however usually just erode over time, they do not usually move.
A sand dune is a hill of sand that was built up by an obstacle such as a rock and had sand blowing over it in one direction for a period of time. Over that period of time it builds up and gets gigantic and then sometimes collapses. People often visit these amazing sites. A sand dune is a sandy mountain in a desert or at a beach along the shore of an ocean.

The Sand dunes are a major land form in the Sahara desert. The Sand Dune are mountains of sand that can shift over time with the winds.
When sand particles being blown by the wind come across barriers the sand particles are deposited as some particles are trappped by the barrier and over time the particles pile up creating a larger mould of sand and eventually leads to a sand dune.
A dune will disintegrate.
The position of a sand dune is never static, it is always changing in form, mass and position.
When wind carrying sand slows down or is trapped by some obstacle, such as a boulder or plant, the sand gets deposited. As the sand accumulates, a sand dune can form. Dunes often form on beaches or in deserts. Sand dunes move over time as, little by little, sand grains get moved by the wind from one side of the dune to the other.
My guess is a bout 500 years. sand builds up over time.
Well on the beaches there's smalls sand dunes and they say not to step on them, that's cause for deposition to make a sand dune takes long time and when someone steps on them thy are destroyed the sand dune i hope this :D
Sand dunes are continuously changing due to wind moving the sand around. The appearance of an area covered with sand dunes might remain similar for very long periods of time but the details can well have changed considerably.
