Actually ammeter is a galvanometer which is shunted by a resistance called shunt.

For large currents major part of it is bypassed through the shunt. The parallel combination of shunt resistance and meter resistance is added to the circuit resistances , so the value indicated by the ammeter is slightly lesser than the actually value.

Where would you put an ammeter in a circuit?

in a series circuit or it will not work. Put it after the bulb

How would a ammeter be connected in a circuit?

An ammeter is always connected in series in the circuit.

How do you connect a ammeter into a circuit?

connect ammeter in series with load.

What does an Ammeter do in a series circuit?

To measure current in circuit

Does it matter where you place an ammeter in a circuit?

Ammeters must always be placed in series in a circuit, otherwise they will not work babes :)

How should a ammeter and voltmeter be connected in circuit?

Ammeter is coneccted in series with circuit but Voltmeter is connected in parallel.

How is an ammeter connected in a circuit?

Series connect it within the line of the circuit for which you are interested in measuring the current flow.More detailSince we measure the flow of current IN the circuit, the ammeter must be connected in series with the part of the circuit for which you are interested in measuring the current flow. One of the ammeter's terminals must be connected to a point of the incoming current flow and its second terminal must be connected to the point of on-going current flow. To do this, cut the relevant circuit wire and connect one terminal of the ammeter to each end of the cut.

How can an ammeter be connected in a circuit and not effect the flow of current?

The ammeter does affect the flow of current in a circuit, however, the resistance of the ammeter is so small in comparison to the circuit that the effect is negligible. It is connected in series.

What happen if you change the position of ammeter in the circuit in parallel and series?

-- In a series circuit, no matter where you install the ammeter, it will always read the same current. -- In a parallel circuit, the ammeter may read a different current when it's moved to a different parallel branch.

Which circuit the ammeter connected in parallel?

An ammeter is always connected in series and a vlotmeter in parallel

Which of these is used to measure current in series circuits?

An ammeter is used to measure current in series circuits. It is connected in series with the circuit components to measure the flow of electric current through them.

How can you say that ammeter measures current and voltmeter measures voltage?

voltmeter in parallel and ammeter in series of a circuit.
