Water is pumped at high pressure through a nozzle mixed with compressed air which results in a large mist. At well below freezing outside temperatures and with a mist sprayed high in the air, the mist freezes and falls to ground as snow.

When did they make the first snowmaking machine?

In December 1949, Art Hunt, Wayne Pierce and Dave Richey tested their newly invented snowmaking machine at Mohawk Mountain in Cornwall, CT. After this successful test, the mountain became the first to install a snowmaking system. This was the first commercial smowmaking machine.

How does the work done a machine compare to the work done by a machine?

The work done by a machine is the output energy provided by the machine in an intended task, while the work done on a machine is the input energy required to operate the machine. The work done by the machine should ideally be greater than the work done on the machine to ensure efficiency.

What is work done on a machine called?

The work done on a machine is called input work or mechanical work. It refers to the energy transferred to the machine to operate it and perform tasks.

If the input work on a machine the machine has blank efficiency?

If the input work is processed by a machine and no output work is produced, the machine is considered to have zero efficiency. This means that the machine is not effectively converting input work into useful output work.

How does input work and out put work affect the efficiency of a simple machine?

Input work is the work done on a machine, while output work is the work done by the machine. Efficiency of a simple machine is calculated as the ratio of output work to input work. The efficiency of a simple machine is high when the output work is close to the input work, indicating that the machine is converting most of the input work into useful output work.

The work that the simple machine does is called the work?

the work a machine does is the work output what it takes to do the work is the work input

What work is input for a machine?

The energy that is used to make the machine work.

What is the ratio of work put out of a machine to the work put in is its?

It is the efficiency of the machine.

What is the work input for a machine?

The work input for a machine is the amount of energy or force that is put into the machine in order to make it operate. It is the energy that is required to do work on the machine and make it perform its intended function.

In a compound machine made up of two simple machines how is the work output of the first simple machine related to the work input of the second simple machine?

The work ouput of the second machine will usually be more than the work input of the first machine.

The work you do on a machine is called work?

Actually, the work done on a machine is referred to as mechanical work. It involves the application of force to move an object over a distance, such as pushing a button or turning a knob on a machine.
