The adaptations of a woodpecker are that they have very sharp beaks so they can drill small holes to get food out of the hole and to build homes. Their tails are extremely strong and inflexible to help them climb up trees. Their toes have long and sharp claws on them and it helps them get a grip onto trees with smooth bark. Their tongues are four times longer then their beck and it makes it more easier to catch insects.
