Air can hold finite amount of moisture in a given volume of air. When temperature increases the space between the molecules increases letting more moisture accumulating in the atmosphere. How ever this depends on the local water bodies.

Moisture in air is expressed as Relative humidity . It has no units as it is a percentage.

Air masses are identified on the basis of temperature and what?

moisture content

How do air masses that form over the land and ocean affect weather in the Unnited States?

Air masses can affect the weather because different air masses differ in temperature, density, and moisture content.

How is moisture content and temperature of an air mass determined?

By The source region

What are the two characteristics of an air mass you must know in order to identify it?

Moisture and Temperature

Temperature in the air is increased by the process of moisture condensation?

Yes, temperature in the air has more moisture content . Due to the condensation of particles in the humidity liberates the particle which has high heat particles which increases the temperature.

How does the temperature of the air affect the amount of humidty that you feel?

warmer air can hold more moisture.

How does temperature affect the height of a dropped ball?

when there is more moisture in the air, it is warmer and thicker. when there is less moisture in the air it is cooler and thinner. so if it is cooler temperature then it will drop faster.

How does wind direction affect moisture content?

Wind direction is the direction which the wind blows. If the wind direction is coming from an arid region, such as a desert, the air will be dry and moisture content will be low. If the wind direction is coming from an ocean, lake, or tropical area, the air will have a higher moisture content.

How does a change in temperature affect relative humidity and specific humidity?

When the temperature of air is cooled or reduced the relative humidity (RH) increases. The moisture content of the air remains the same until the RH rises to the point of 100% saturation and condensation occurs.

What would be the most likely cause for the movement of air shown?

low moisture content and low temperature

Three factors that affect the temperature?

Amount of sun, amount of clouds and amount of moisture in the air are 3 examples of things that could affect temperature.
