The commoners used 10-12 foot surfboards while Noblemen and Chieftains used 14-16 foot surfboards, an insightful analogy to the modern-day term, "Bigger is better".

Another way of surfing is sand surfing, which is sufing in the desert on steep dunes. I think sand surfing is also surfing along the edge of the water at a beach, which is very fun.
