yes it could also cause many other defects such as mentality, behavior, and emotional problems as the child gets older. if you have a drink once in awhile there should not be a problem.but consistant drinking can and will cause problems.
Alcohol for fetus abuse without excusHeck ya, I'm married to the baby of an alcoholic mother and I can tell you it can make a child stupid. My wife has never been able to comprehend math beyond simple addition and subtraction. She has very poor memory and almost no reasoning skills. I believe that alcohol to her as a fetus, then adding growing up in a house with Alcoholism has added much frustration to both of our lives. I love her, but it gets old telling her that 1/3 cup of sugar is less than 1/2 cup and you can double a recipe or half it and it will work.If I'm not here to "force" her, she will cook two separte making of a recipe then combine them in one pot. Go figure . . .

AnswerYes, it is very dangerous to drink while pregnant. You're playing with your child's life.Drinking any alcohol may be dangerous to your baby. There has been no 'safe' amount of alcohol identified that does not cause fetal alcohol syndrome.
When a pregnant woman drinks alcohol, so does her baby. Drinking may harm her developing baby. (Fetus) Alcohol passes from the mother's blood, into the babies blood. It can damage and affect the growth of the babies cells. Studies do not yet show that it is safe for a pregnant woman to drink even a small amount, as different babies react differently to even the tiniest bit of alcohol. Although the risk is higher with heavy alcohol use- any amount of alcohol may affect your developing baby. You may be able to prevent FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) by not drinking at all when you are pregnant. Hope this helps. :)
yes. it can effect the baby
Drinking alcohol during the second trimester can pose significant risks to fetal development, including potential effects on the baby's brain and growth. While the risks are often associated with drinking during the first trimester, exposure to alcohol at any stage of pregnancy can lead to fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD), which can result in lifelong physical and cognitive impairments. Additionally, alcohol can affect placental function and increase the likelihood of complications such as preterm birth. Therefore, it is generally advised to abstain from alcohol throughout pregnancy.
When a pregnant woman drinks alcohol there is a risk that the resulting baby will be born with a very serious and incurable condition called Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (or FAS) which will cause emotional problems, learning disability, and a predisposition toward alcoholism.
Drinking small amounts of alcohol have been proven to NOTbe harmful to an unborn baby....Just don't get trashed...
Hang on, WHAT?! I really hope you don't mean you gave your baby alcohol. Cause that would make you a pretty messed up mother.
Heavy drinking for a long period of time will increase the risk for miscarriage but most likely will the fetus get Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
No. But drinking alcohol can, if you decide to keep the baby, cause mental problems and birth defects in your child. You need some good medical advice.
Yes it will effect the baby in many ways.
No, you shouldn't drink any alcohol during pregnancy. Drinking alcohol, even in small amounts, can increase risk of birth defects or miscarriage - risks are higher in the first three months of pregnancy.
First you should put the bottle down before asking such a question...maybe you can spell correctly then! OF COURSE drinking alcohol can harm the baby. You should not be drinking at all. Everything you ingest the baby does as well. Please make sure everything that goes into your body is healthy and will help that precious baby grow strong and big.
