Perhaps, alcohol will slightly lower glucose levels, but beer has some sugar in it. It is hard to measure in a sense since beer with pretzels is harder on the glucose then beer and a steak.
Answer
I am a type 1 diabetic and it is a fact that studies have shown alcohol lowers blood sugar. It is best NOT to drink if you are a diabetic however, if you are going to partake, I suggest always eat something that has both a protein and carb together like a sandwich or cheese and crackers when you do.I have found this to be helpful.
Consumption of ethanol by diabetics can elevate, or lower, blood sugar levels, depending on whether the individual has recently eaten, or has been
fasting, and whether the individual chronically consumes alcohol, or not. Chronic consumption of alcohol by well-nourished diabetics is associated with hyperglycemia (increased blood sugar).
There are some suggestions that this may be the result of reduced insulin responsiveness. Acute (single exposure) consumption of moderate amounts of alcohol by a well-nourished
diabetic (either type 1 or 2), who does not chronically consume alcohol, generally, does not lead to significant changes in blood sugar levels. Alcohol consumption by people who are in the fasting state (i.e., they have not
recently eaten) produces hypoglycemia (reduced blood sugar levels). This effect occurs in both type 1 and type 2 diabetics, as well as in non-diabetics.
Yes, alcohol has sugar in it and can affect blood sugar levels. Most diabetics are told to avoid alcohol consumption, as it tends to distort blood sugar levels and makes blood sugar control difficult.
Because it thins the blood, which makes it easier to flow through blood vessels.
It is probably not a good choice. You should consult with your doctor and see what they say.
No. Beer is high in carbohydrates, which raises blood sugar.
yes, it raises your blood sugar.
Of course!
Anyone can drink beer, regardless of their blood type. But don't drink too much. Alcohol can be consumed by anyone, but it is also dangerous to anyone, if consumed to excess.
Drank it from my Supper blood sugar: 6.7 at 6:00 and i checked for my snack at 9:30 and my blood sugar was 8.5. No exercise! Nothing physical. my blood sugar has to be 8-12 before bed time. and i am type 1.
it has nuffin 2 do wiv glass size its all bout how much alcohol u actually drink
chabeer's punchAlso;Flip, a sailor's drink made from beer mixed with rum or brandy, sweetened and served hot
Non-Alcoholic Beer HAS ALCOHOL IN IT. So, whether you are safe to drive depends on how many you drink and how high your blood alcohol level gets. Since the alcohol content in the beer is lower, it will take longer, but not all that much longer. You can still become impaired.
whatever you drink so will the baby, be it milk, juice or beer, it goes into the blood stream and into the baby's blood, it is a lousy idea to drink alcohol or smoke while you are pregnant.
yes
Answer Alcohol in general lowers blood sugar, so I do not recommend drinking if you have any blood sugar problems at all. However, if you are going to partake, make sure that you eat a protein/carbohydrate snack while you do.
Most beer has no sugar at all. The sugars have been converted into alcohol. Taken from a popular advert but actually not true most beers contain quite a lot of sugar that's why if you spill beer it leaves behind the sugar when it dries leaving a very sticky mess. But it all depends on the beer and lagered beer contain even more sugar. If you take an average pint of beer is around 180 Calories and a level spoonful of sugar is 15 calories you will see and average pint is around 12 teaspoons of sugar. If you want to test your drink for sugar spill some and let it dry see what is left when the water and alcohol is gone. If you could turn all the sugar to alcohol beer would be around 30% proof and used to power the space shuttle.

Yes, you can drink your beer on private property, if you can legally drink beer to begin with.
