there arnt any hoses coming from the head gasket
Anything that causes the engine to run hot, like a faulty thermostat, can cause the head gasket to blow. also say a coolant hose ruptures, all the coolant is then drained from the radiator and the engine is then essentially running with no way to cool down, gasket blows. there are many ways for the engine to run hot, but it is the main reason a head gasket would blow out.
fist of all.. no. if your coolant hose is leaking then you will probably run out of coolant and blow a head gasket and you don't want that.second of all i have a question for you:is your coolant hose leaking or are you just losing coolant all the time? if your hose isn't leaking, then is possible you have a blown head gasket or a cracked block or a blown head gasket, and either of those two will cause ur spark plug too look nasty when u take it out, but there are also many different reasons why your spark plug could corrode.
A blown head gasket
Sure you CAN, but if you do continue to run an engine with a blown head gasket you will destroy the engine. Do not run any engine with a blown head gasket or you will be buying a new engine.
Could be a thermostat that is stuck closed, a collapsed hose, bad head gasket letting the antifreeze into head. Just a few things that come to mind.
With a blown head gasket the engine will still run, poorly with issues, but run. A blown engine will not continue to run from that moment on.
Sure it will start with a blown head gasket. But, if you continue to run this engine with a blown head gasket you will destroy the engine.
to RUN in a head gasket,u torque the head bolts to specs.you then run engine for specified amount of time, then again torque head bolts to specs. most shop manuels will give you 2 toque settings.
It depends on the engine, where and how bad the gasket failure is, etc. If you run an engine with a blown head gasket that has allowed anti-freeze to contaminate the oil, you'll probably wipe out the motor.
Any vehicle can run with a blown head gasket. Question is, do you want to destroy the engine in your Kia? A sure way to do that is to drive it with a blown head gasket. By doing this you are allowing coolant to be mixed with the oil in the engine. Coolant is a horrible lubricant and is actually very corrosive. It will, in short order, destroy the bearings and all other moving parts in your engine.
Not very far. If it's only the head gasket your engine should still run but driving it is a very bad idea. with a blown head gasket the coolant channels wont be sealed and you'll lose it all. without coolant the engine would overheat in a matter of minutes.
