An electromagnet is the basis of an electric motor. You can understand how things work in the motor by imagining the following scenario. Say that you created a simple electromagnet by wrapping 100 loops of wire around a nail and connecting it to a battery. The nail would become a magnet and have a north and south pole while the battery is connected.
Now say that you take your nail electromagnet, run an axle through the middle of it and suspend it in the middle of a horseshoe magnet as shown in the figure below. If you were to attach a battery to the electromagnet so that the north end of the nail appeared as shown, the basic law of magnetism tells you what would happen: The north end of the electromagnet would be repelled from the north end of the horseshoe magnet and attracted to the south end of the horseshoe magnet. The south end of the electromagnet would be repelled in a similar way. The nail would move about half a turn and then stop in the position shown.
You can see that this half-turn of motion is simply due to the way magnets naturally attract and repel one another. The key to an electric motor is to then go one step further so that, at the moment that this half-turn of motion completes, the field of the electromagnet flips. The flip causes the electromagnet to completeanother half-turn of motion. You flip the magnetic field just by changing the direction of the electrons flowing in the wire (you do that by flipping the battery over). If the field of the electromagnet were flipped at precisely the right moment at the end of each half-turn of motion, the electric motor would spin freely.
A milk float (electrically driven low speed truck for) It is basically an electric car There is a electric motor, a control system and a set of batteries.
This type of motor is electrically identical with alternaner that means ac generator and it is operate at constant speed.
Live parts to which an employee might be exposed shall be put into an electrically safe work condition before an employee works.
The primary motor cortex in the brain is responsible for producing movements in the body when electrically stimulated. It is located in the frontal lobe of the cerebrum and plays a crucial role in the control and execution of voluntary movements.
compound motor action potentialThis is an electrical potential evoked by electrically stimulating a motor nerve and recording the electrical response (change in voltage) from a muscle innervated by that nerve.
Power plants (fueled by elements) produce the electrical energy that circuits to an outlet that you can charge an electric motor with a plug that is wired to an electric motor. Or if it is a vehicle with an electric motor, you electrically charge car batteries that produce the current to the electric motor.
The present invention relates to a soot afterburner for amotor vehicle exhaust system. More particularly this invention concerns an electrically powered device that burns soot separated out of the exhaust gas stream of, for instance, a diesel engine.
A single phase induction motor is mainly used in fans.It is capacitor start capacitor run induction motor. In three phase induction motor squirrel cage induction motor is mainly used in elevators, lifts, cranes.slip ring induction motor is mainly used in electrically driven ships.
The toy motor work on the electro magmatic induction
A 'squirrel cage' rotor is used in an a.c. inductionmotor, meaning that there is no electrical supply to that rotor with the currents in the rotor , instead, being the result of induced voltages caused by currents flowing in the field windings. A rotor of a d.c. motor, is electrically connected to the supply. The two types of motor work on completely different principles, so cannot use a squirrel cage rotor.
Gas and a spark are the two necessary things that make a car motor work.
