RTD stands for resistance temperature difference.There are three types of RTD i.e 2 wire,3 wire and 4 wire.A PT-100 RTD is generally used in industry to determine temperature.It`s one end sense temperature and hence due to this resistance of metal changes.This change in resistance is calculated and temperature is calculated through a formula:
