Animal cruelty affects us because with out those animals maybe a larger preditor couldn't eat it and ate you instead. That may seemed farfetched but it has happend. And maybe that dog was very talented and could help blind people, now one less blind person can't get around. Or maybe because the cops found out a child cried. The child isn't a big deal but how do you know that one child could have become a doctor to save hundreds of people but instead he/she was scarred for life and now doesn't think they have the strength to go on and kill themselves. Sadly these things happen to people in America.
