Being pregnant while continuing your education can affect you adversely in many different ways, emotionally, socially, physically and mentally.

One way in which this affects you is that you will have different physical needs: You will need to go to the lavatory much more frequently during the later stages of pregnancy, and may feel nauseous during the first trimester, interrupting your classes. Towards the third trimester, you may also feel as if it would be best not to continue with any sport lessons or clubs, for safety of the baby. Sitting in class may become uncomfortable, and the changes going on inside your abdomen may hurt at different stages. You will also find that your eating and sleeping habits change and become more demanding, and that you will need to sleep more, which may cut back on study time.

Socially, you may also feel isolated, and maintaining your friendships and social activities is generally taken to be an important part of your schooling. You should take this into consideration, as maintaining your own mental health is essential to your overall well-being, as well as the future well-being of your child.

Teen pregnancy can affect her education because she will not be able to focus as well during school and often times will drop out of school because she is embarrassed about her situation, and school for teenagers now days is honestly not a comfortable place to spend your day when in that sort of predicament. If she drops out of school she can still be home schooled and take online classes, however when the baby comes she may not have time even for online schooling and may drop out of that, too.
