Blood does not travel directly from a toe to the liver. Blood travels from the toe via veins to right side of the heart, where it is pumped through arteries through the lungs. It then returns to the heart (the left side of the heart this time), whence it is pumped to the entire body (including the liver). The blood which goes to the liver comes from two places. One is the arterial circulation mentioned above. The above is the portal circulation. The portal vein takes blood from the intestines, containing nutrients which have just been digested there, to the liver. This is because the liver is the detoxification center of the body. Some of the foods we eat contain poisons which would harm us if the liver weren't there to detoxify them before they are allowed to enter into the general circulation of the blood.

the path of blood goes to your whole body. but in your right and left feet, the blood flow isn't conecting both feet directly. the blood flow going down to your feet, to get to both feet at the same time, splits, and right where your legs meet, that is where the blood separates.

What is the blood flow path from the mitral valve to the great toe?

From mitral valve the blood will go to left ventricle. From there, the blood will go to ascending aorta. Then arch of aorta. Then descending aorta. Then abdominal aorta. Then to common iliac artery. then to external iliac artery. Which continue as the femoral artery. Then popliteal artery. Then posterior tibial artery. Then medial and lateral planter arteries. Then the branches will go to your great toe.

What is the path of a drop of blood from the aorta to the capillaries in the big toe?

As oddly specific as this question is the flow would probably follow the path below: Aortic Arch==>Descending Aorta==>either the left or right Common Illiac Artery==>External Illiac Artery==>Femoral Artery==>from here there are two options to get to the Hallucis (big toe) The first is that the blood flows through the Anterior Tibial Artery then into the Medial Dorsal Artery or Lateral Dorsal Artery which merge to form the Arcuate Artery. From here will come smaller un-named arteries to supply the top of the big toe. The other option is that blood flows through the Posterios Tibial Artery then into the Medial Plantar Artery and Lateral Plantar Artery which merge to form the Plantar Arch. Again smller un-named arteries come from the arch to suplly the underside of the big toe this time.
