Uncle Jake, Sabrina, and Daphne go to rescue her, but when they are escaping, they encounter a dragon. Briar thinks that Jake is dead, and stands up to the dragon that supposedly killed him. The dragon slams her into a tree, causing her to die. When it turns out that Jake isn't dead, he wakes up to find Briar dead, and nearly kills himself 2 times. Very sad.
