Simple in principle: Just remove all external forces from the object, and it continues

on its way with constant motion ... no change in speed or direction.

Tough in the real world, because it's impossible to do that on Earth.

When was Constant Motion created?

Constant Motion was created in 2007.

What is the difference between constant motion and accelerated motion?

Constant motion occurs when an object maintains a constant speed and direction, while accelerated motion involves a change in speed or direction, resulting in an acceleration. In constant motion, there is no change in velocity, whereas in accelerated motion, velocity changes over time.

Is motion constant?

Constant motion is a mechanics terms meaning the quantity that is conserved throughout the motion. Examples of constant motion are specific linear momentum and specific energy.

When does uniform linear motion happen?

Uniform linear motion occurs when an object moves in a straight line with a constant speed, meaning it covers equal distances in equal intervals of time. This type of motion does not involve any acceleration or deceleration, and the object maintains a constant velocity throughout.

What is a definition for the scientific term constant motion?

It is motion in a straight line at a constant velocity.

Why horizontal motion is constant?

Horizontal motion is constant when there are no external forces acting on an object in that direction. According to Newton's first law of motion, an object in motion will stay in motion at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external force. This is why horizontal motion can remain constant when there is no acceleration or deceleration.

What will happen to an object if it is put into motion in space?

When an object is put into motion in space, it will continue moving in a straight line at a constant speed unless acted upon by an external force. This is known as Newton's first law of motion.

Waves and whirlpools show the ocean is in constant motion.

What type of motion is occurring when the slope of a position vs time is constant?

The motion at constant speed.

Can a body in equilibrium if it is in motion?

It can be in equilibrium if in constant motion (constant velocity) as no forces are acting on it (no acceleration)
