Deer is a mammal ad its body covering is called skin . Its skin possess hairs which help in endothermy . Its skin is colored and color is matching to environment which helps in camouflage and counter shading . Sweat glands are present in skin to provide evaporative cooling .

They are covered with hair. In the spring they are of a light tan to fawn colour and in the fall, depending on the area, their coat changes to a reddish brown or a grayish brown. In areas where much snow is prevalent, the grayish brown helps these deer camouflage in the gray winter tones of the grey woods and white snow.
