Affects the temperature to rise more warmer causing the lack of ice and snow to develop. Affects many ecosystems to species.
I found this out when doing a geography project that global warming is affecting the arctic by making ice melt earlier and freeze later.
It doesn't effect me at all, I live at 700 feet.
On the other hand, my sister lives at 6 feet, and the tide gets closer to her home every year. In some countries it is devastating. In places like Bangladesh it leaves thousands without homes or farmland. When the whole North Pole is melted, the water will rise not at all, because floating ice doesn't change sea level .... but when Greenland and Antarctica melt it may raise sea levels around 7 or 8 metres. This will flood sea countries like the Netherlands so that half of the Netherlands will disappear under the sea level.
The arctic ice melting would be an example of a positive feedback on the warming of our planet. With less ice we would have less reflecting material (albedo effect) and therefore the ability to absorb more heat.
Ice reflects the sun's radiation. When the ice is gone, the dark sea will absorb more heat and warm up more quickly.
While if you keep on using gas and pollute the earth. You break the Ozone layer and then the sun heats the earth and the heat gets trapped because their is no place for it to go because all the pollution is trapping it. Their fore The ice will melt it will become very hot. You may die or never see snow again that's why it is important to keep the earth clean
There are two consequences of melting ice caps.
It leaves less habitat for arctic animals like polar bears and penguins, and the excess water from the caps will raise the water level in the process flooding near by coastal areas.br
Ice caps melting = increase in height of oceans. Cities on Coastlines, usually where most people live at, will be affected since rising ocean levels could mean that these cities will see flooding in the future.
It leaves many species of arctic animals without a home, which definitely affects the earth. Also, it leads to the rise in the level of the ocean, which causes a plethora of problems as well.
the world will drown
It effects it because the earth is getting hotter because of Global Warming therefore ice melts faster.
It could be a problem because it could flood the entire world.
Yes global warming does affect the tundra biome by melting away all of the ice that these animals are depending on.
Global Warming. Due to global warming, ice in the polar region is melting
ice is melting in a large number ... but not so fast
The ploar ice caps are melting.
because of global warming. the atmosphere is being destroyed. thus the Sun's rays are melting the ice. the ice at the poles is what keeps the planet from overheating. without it we will all cook.

Global air pollution contributes to global warming, which in turn can contribute to ice melting in Antarctica.

Melting ice caps are because of global warming. This global warming also causes ozone depletion.
ice is melting in a large number ... but not so fast
the ice is melting
The ploar ice caps are melting.
Yes because the ice is melting from global warming
Icebergs are made of ice and since the greenhouse gases are making the earth warmer the icebergs are melting.
Global Warming and the melting of ice.
We are causing global warming which is melting the ice.
Glaciers and ice caps are melting. The ice over Greenland is melting and so is the Arctic sea ice.
