∙ 10y agoTo make an Ethernet crossover cable you will need a standard Ethernet cable. Towards an end of the cable, make a slit that is a few inches long. Peel the casing back and remove it. Cut the orange, white-orange, green and green-white wires. Strip each of these colored wires about 1/2 inch each. Connect the green wire to the orange wire, twist them together and wrap in electrical tape. Complete the last step with the remaining two wires. Clean up the wire and wrap the opening in electrical tape. Now you have a crossover Ethernet cable.
