If a solution of a compound has a solubility limit (equilibrium) of X amount, and doing something like stirring increases the -rate- at which it dissolves, no more substance is dissolved in the end. The same is true for cells where the amount of things inside and outside will be equal, like salt content, and the rate at which it occurs does not affect the amount.
