Peer pressure can happen to one who is weak willed, small in stature, timid, a loner or one who is easily influenced by others. When one is pressured into drinking either as a dare, or to be one of the boys (Or girls), the first drink can lead to another until one becomes a habitual drinker. Peer pressure can also lead to drinking so that the affects of alcohol helps the person escape the world they find themselves in, just as drugs do.

It is unfortunate but many who are affected by peer pressure have to put up with it, that is until they receive some inner strength of willpower to say NO, and take whatever punishment, whether verbal or physical.

Taking to drink is not the answer, for once hooked the alcohol then becomes another peer pressure, it becomes a vicious circle.
